Outreaches and Field Works
Every year since 2023 Deborah Foundation has managed to reach out to different communities and districts of the country to help out single mothers and children who are unable to make ends meet, from daily basic needs such as food, clothing, etc. to school fees and other health needs.
This Act is one of the core reasons for founding the organization and it has been diligently and consistently abided by ever since then. It is carried out every year in December and at times of specific celebratory days of the year such as Women’s Day and Mother’s Day.
IBANDA KIRUHURA DISTRICT
In 2023, December, Deborah foundation staff accompanied with the director Pr. Alice Mwiza Katamba, went to Ibanda in Kiruhura District to visit its people mainly mothers and children. They were able to cater for at least 300 single mothers and 100 children with certain necessities such as, food, clothes, bedcovers, bed sheets, sanitary pads, etc. This procedure took them about 3 days of service. The Director also got an opportunity to have counseling sessions with a few mothers and some of their local leaders on ways to keep their Life and children in the stronghold Faith in the Lord Jesus Christ.
LUUKA DISTRICT
In 2024 December, Deborah Foundation staff as well as the Director Pr. Alice Mwiza Katamba went to Luuka District to carry out the foundation’s core priority which is to help single mothers and children. They managed to reach out a hand to 150 single mothers and 100 children with different items and necessities such as food, clothes bedcovers, bed sheets, and they also provided 50 bedcovers specifically to old women. They were all able to have a one-on-one talk to the Director and get insight about personal and faith concerns.
WOMEN’S HOSPITAL MULAGO
On 8th/03/2025, Women’s Day, Deborah Foundation staff and the Director Pr. Alice Mwiza Katamba visited Mulago’s delivery ward to check on pregnant mothers and new mothers. We were able to attend to 100 mothers and their new born babies. Also young girls who had given birth. The foundation was able to supply these mothers with items like, sugar, sanitary pads, pampers, toiletries etc.
